Maison Talbooth - Opening 2008
Maison Talbooth closed its doors for six months on the 1st October and as we write, the massive scaffold is already in place for all the roofing work and the creation of the four second floor bedrooms. In the garden nineteen piles are in place for the pool house and the big dig for the
tennis court and swimming pool is underway. Fingers crossed for a dry spell so the builders can keep on with the work and stay on schedule.
Some of our customers have been confused as they thought that Le Talbooth was closing as well.We can assure you that Le Talbooth is very much open for business and we’re all set for a bumper December in the run up to Christmas. If you haven’t received our Christmas brochure in the post do ask any of our staff for one when you are next in Dedham or Harwich.
The Maison Talbooth Project
This is a significant development for the company with a total investment
of £1.5M and is scheduled to reopen on the 1st April 2008.We hesitate
to use the phrase “NewMaison Talbooth” as in “New Labour” but as well
as a brand new roof, the hotel will have much more to offer as follows:
- Outdoor Swimming pool complex with large sun terrace,
hot tub, covered barbecue area and dining facilities.
- Tennis Court
- Three fabulous new bedrooms in the main house
- The Treatment Rooms at Maison Talbooth
- Breakfast/Dining room with stunning views over the Stour valley
As well as welcoming back old friends to Maison Talbooth, the big news of course, particularly for all our local supporters, is the mention of ‘the treatment rooms at Maison Talbooth’. The target market is very much our local friends and diners who enjoy spa treatments. We are teaming up with ESPA - every ESPA treatment is a totally caring experience and the ultimate in luxury, and guests will have many treatments to choose from including the ESPA Skin Brightener facial, ESPA facial and back massage with hot stones and the ESPA Total Holistic with Hot Stones.
